Our Upper School programme offers classes for age 10-18 in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Contemporary, Street Dance and Acro. Our upper school dancers have the opportunity to take part in our annual show, IDTA examinations and medal tests and local competitions.
ballet, tap & modern
age 10+
Our Ballet, Tap and Modern classes follow the IDTA syllabus and our students take examinations and classwork assessments as well as working towards our annual show.
Grade 2 Ballet, Tap & Modern (age 11+) Saturday 1.15-3pm
Grade 3/4 Ballet & Tap (age 13+) Saturday 10.15-12pm


acro
age 9+
Acro uses strength and flexibility to perform gymnastic-based tricks. In this class, students will being with basic skills such as forward rolls, cartwheels and flexibility.
Students will continue to build toward more advanced skills such as contortion, balances and partner stunts. Students perform conditioning exercises to prepare them for increased difficulty.
Acro teaches flexibility, balance, strength and co-ordination.
Our current Acro class is for age 9+ at a mixed level beginners/intermediate. Please check our schedule for more classes coming soon.

contemporary
age 10+
Contemporary is a beautiful, expressive and graceful style of dance, with its roots from ballet and jazz. Our classes focus on working on technique (a lot based around ballet) and working on new choreography. Our Contemporary dancers are a big feature in our annual show.
It is highly recommended that all our Contemporary dancers also take a ballet class with us as these two styles go together.
Mid-Seniors, age 10-12 Tuesday 6.30-7.30pm
Seniors, age 13+ Tuesday 7.30-8.30pm


street dance
age 10+
Our Street Dance classes are unlike any other that you will find. We focus on teaching real street dance technique and the moves that were created in the early days of street dance culture, working on styles such as Locking, Breaking and Hip Hop. All of our Street Dancers have the opportunity to gain confidence through our annual show and IDTA medal tests.
Mid-Seniors, age 10-12 Thursday 6-7pm
Seniors, age 13+ Thursday 7-8pm
